Oregon. Winchester made a Target Rifle from 64-71 in 308 and 30-06. It should have a 24" HB and it has no sights rather target bases. This could be what you have in the HS stock. Books at $650 for a 98% rifle. The original stock was a heavy target rig with a hand stop. I don't know how the stock effects the price. Ken.

I have the venerable "deuce" which was only produced for one year. I believe the Model 70 Heavy Barrel Varmint (HBV) was produced in the .220 Swift, .22-250, .223, .243 and the .308 from 1994-98. However, the .222 Rem. was only produced for one year - 1997 to 1998. They came with a 26 in. heavy stainless barrel, sans sights.
